Fiona Baker is the Association Chairman

I was elected as your Unitary Councillor for Brackley in May 2021, following the creation of the new West Northamptonshire Council.

Over the last 9 years, during which I began as a Brackley Town Councillor, became a South Northants District Councillor, and in May 2017 the Northamptonshire County Councillor for Brackley, I have worked hard to represent the Town’s best interests and to help residents with individual issues involving Local Government.

In particular I have worked with the Town Council to improve access to St James’s Lake Country Park with better paths and introduced new Christmas lights. At District level, where I have been Chairman and Chaired the Planning Committee, I helped to secure the new Swimming Pool for the town. I have also created a Liaison Group to convey residents’ concerns to the Contractors responsible for our new housing developments.

I have concentrated on local issues whenever possible, working with the County Council and Stagecoach I secured a bus service for Brackley students attending Northampton College, and introduced the new bus service to Bicester.

I currently serve you on West Northants Council and I am the Cabinet member responsible for Children, Families and Education.
