I was first elected to the West Northamptonshire Council in May 2021, to represent residents across the Silverstone ward.
I have worked on social welfare programmes in the UK and overseas and my former career in the performing arts took me across the UK, South Africa and the United states, and for the last 20 years I worked in property here and in America.
I helped on a Red Cross social welfare programme for youth and teenage mums as well as at a drug rehab centre in London. I taught women in Soweto, South Africa to make soft furnishings, which enabled them to feed and educate their children. I also served on a school board in Beverly Hills and ran a women’s group there.
Currently I work with the Cure Parkinsons charity and help with village matters in Moreton Pinkney, where I live. I have a passion for local community involvement: I want to protect the character of villages, to increase police presence, to make our roads safer and to work with the old and young to ensure their voices are heard.
