The Conservatives have scored a double win at the Grange Park by election. Local residents Simon Clifford and Adil Sadygov topped the poll seeing off a challenge from UKIP and Labour. The Liberal Democrats did not contest the election.
Simon Clifford topped the poll with 433 votes and Adil Sadygov not far behind on 313. The Conservatives swept to victory with 69% of the vote.
Speaking afterwards Simon said “I wish to thank all those in Grange Park who have put their trust in me, Adil and the Conservatives. We will continue to stand up for the interests of local residents at South Northants Council”
Adil added “We are committed to helping secure a better broadband service and to reduce the levels of anti-social behaviour in the area. I look forward to working with Simon and the Conservative administration at South Northants to achieve this.”
